Sam was just three years old when his parents noticed that he wasn’t feeling well on a family holiday, weeks later he was then diagnosed with Leukaemia and then relapsed when he was six years old. At the time Sam wondered why this was all happening to him and how tough relapse was but life got back on track and everything was going smoothly until in 2007 after numerous seizures he was then told he had a brain tumour called Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumour otherwise known as PNET. Sam had to undergo yet more cancer treatment and had surgery but due to the scarring in such a delicate part of his brain, Sam is now on permanent medication to try and control his seizures, something that doctors are managing to spread out. Sam gives advice on how to cope with a diagnosis and how he believes cancer is just a barrier in the way and that’s not going to stop him.
